Hiatus

So erm… yeah, i haven’t blogged for a little over a month. Sorry sorry :/

Reason being, as many of you may have read/experienced first hand/whatever, is that there has been a LOT of bitching and greediness and ‘godlier than thou’ attitudes in the blogging world and the whole thing just lost that sense of fun for me.

I blog to keep tracks on outfits i have. I blog because it’s kinda nice to share stuff i’ve found and new releases with people that may not have found items themselves. NOT because i want free stuff, NOT because i want to have a mass of clique followers cooing over me, NOT because i want to be smug or think i’m above anyone.

It’s to the point now whereby i don’t want to post anything on flickr, and i don’t want to blog anything because it’s an open ground for judgement and petty playground bitching. And i don’t want to be part of that

Aranel Ah of Boom has been a busy bunny of late and has put out the answer to Christmas Gifting prayers over at the main store – Transferable cutesy christmas underwear sets and an argyle dress for easy gifting.

Aranel’s also started creating wonderful mesh neck and armwarmers that i personally LOVE
Mesh pufflers come in 26 different colours.  They are mesh,and They are available each for only 110L

The armwarmers also come in 26 colours and are made with mesh to bend at the wrist.  They have a baggy fit and include alpha layers. Only 65L.

Just a quickie today as i’m rushed off my feet Rl is evil sometimes lol

Truth be told, i have a love/hate relationship with mesh. I love how it flows with you, i love some of the art pieces people have made with it, i love mesh hair and i love the possibilities. BUT, i’m completely and utterly hating on this ‘standard’ size shape b.s that a collab of designers are putting out. I don’t want to be a clone, i don’t want to change my shape for a dress or whatever and i for one absolutely HAAAAAAATTTEEEE the stuck up, annorexic fashionista look that’s going arounf atm. I’m not conforming, sorry

Anyway… one mesh item i VERY much approve of is this hoodie from Villena. Villena and Pumpkin have been pumping out really awesome mesh stuff, from dresses to these hoodies and jeans and so on. Really, you must go check them out and please pleaaaaase try on a demo! The textures are lovely, the designs themselves are super cute/classic and very very wearable. They’re unisex, too which is epic Each pack comes in a male size,a small female size and a large female size. I’m wearing the large here and i’ll be honest, i would like the large to be a bit more curvy, but at least it doesn’t break all over the place if you have even a hint of hips.

The hair i’m wearing is a new release from the amazing Maz of Action This is Brittany, but there’s also Brittany2 – a long side sweaping fringe version of the style in this photo. With 44 colours to choose from, there’s a colour for everyone and loads of options with streaks etc.

My sweet but sexy lil outfit is a 50L special from Epic at the Cupcake sim bakesale which is on for the next week. It’s right where you land and well worth a look. The seams line up perfectly, the detail is great (pokey nips ftw lol)

Lastly, Meet Sally. This beautiful skin is a free group gift at Al Vulo to showcase Hlina Bluebird’s brand new Sally skin. It’s youthful without looking like a bratty beauty pagent tot and Hlina manages to do the teeth option on the Sally skins perfectly – None of that fashionista/horse chewing on a toffee look that some skins/makeup layers with teeth have. REVIEW: Action – Audrey hair

Hair worn : Audrey by Action – Chai Roots (New release)

Ok, i like this hair, i really do. The textures have that lovely soft look to them and the hair flows nicely (the very lower parts are a little static to me, but that’s just my personal preference) BUT..

It’s basically the previously released Jill, with a bow(see previous post). I don’t see the point :/

Lately many big hair stores (including pretty much the biggest, which i won’t mention the name of but you know) do ‘new’ releases that are basically an old style with say a fringe, or in this case a bow. In all honesty the bow should be an option in the hair rather than having to buy a WHOLE new hair for the sake of what, to me is an acesssory.

If i were you i’d just buy Jill and if you want a bow, heck, there’s plenty of places that sell them a lot cheaper than a whole new hairpack
